Festival just name is enough to make fulfill heart of people with joy & excitement. We just suppose for full of joy & happiness whenever it’s come the point of any festival. Did you ever think that Why, So? Actually, Men is a social animal and likes to live together happily but due to some social’s evils people are in distance from some own people time to time. From ancient times with Goodness there are a few evils also exist in society as well as among the people.
Our ancestors knew the facts well about the evils among the people. Accordingly, they celebrated each victory of goodness over evils and they just not only celebrated this yet they make it a system to celebrate every year on same date as per Hindus Calendar for a msg to people every year by giving a festival name of the victory to check the evils in society as well as among the people. Indian festivals just not a festival yet they come with a strong msg of unity & to check evils.
Festivals are not just a mean of joy & happiness yet these are sacred & make people safe from evils & so many dieses or health problem by reduce negativity in people. So many difficulties had taken place & had finished but those could not finish these festivals system that is a msg of goodness victory over evils. Let’s see example of a few festivals & about that goodness:
Holi: A sacred Indian festival. People celebrate through whole the country. Festival of colors with msg of Goodness victory over evils. We always celebrate Holi on fixed time according to movement of moon. We celebrate Holi on very next day or morning of Holika Dahan that is fixed on Phalgun Purnima (The full Moon night) in month of Phalgun. As there is a story of God Vishnu’s Bhakt Prahlad & His Bua (Father’s Sister) Holika. Holika was blessed not to burn in fire. She wants to burn Prahlad & sits with Prahlad in fire to burn Prahlad but Prahlad got saved & Holika burn due to Her bad mentality of burn Bhakt Prahalad and We celebrate it as a victory of Goodness over evils every year. Let’s that how Holi works as a unique system to check evils & make unity:
- Holi is so sacred festival that is start exactly before one month at an auspicious time of Magh month on Magh Purnima with planting of a part Castor Plant, Haldi, rice & some money. Here Castor Plant represents Prahalad which is used to remove before fire and rest gather by people like wood, dry leaves, cow dung cake (piece of Dry Gobar) before 30 days of Holika Dahan, is called Holika, & Holika burns.
- We consider Holashtak Period (Previous 8 days of Holi) unsuspicious, which is considered that during Holashtak period evils was on it’s best & Bhakt Prahlad was badly tortured by His father to leave goodness. So, we consider it as unsuspicious time and avoid any auspicious work during this period of Holashtak.
- Holika makes set fire by a saint (Pandit) in an auspicious time only after sunset. People use to gathered & they chant with each other about the goodness victory over evils. They also wish each other by saying Happy Holi and doing so they come close in unity with each other. People use cow dung ring set in barley put in fire for short period and after that they use to keep cow dung ring set in barley at their Home & spread ash of Holika is their home to full fill home with positivity and destroy negativity.
- Next morning of Holika Dahan people use to celebrate Victory of Goodness over evils by putting color on each other in gathered forgetting all dispute amongst them. And in Evening We use to go home to home for meet & receive bless with each other by putting tilak of Gulal where people welcome each other with Holi’s special sweets Gujhiya (made of Khoya & some dry fruits) on their home and they use to hug also each other. And this works as a perfect unique system to join the people in unity & to check evils every year.
Deepawali: Like Holi, Deepawali (Festival of Lights) is also a sacred festival of India and is celebrated through whole the country. We worship of Goddess Laxmi & God Ganesha on this day. This festival also gives msg of Victory of Goodness over evils as God Ram defeated Maharaj Ravan of Lanka. We celebrate Deepawali every year and Deepawali just not give msg of Victory of Goodness over evils yet it is helpful for healthy environment as well as helpful for people. As Deepawali is festival of light and we light so many Deeps or Diya on this day in every home and not only in home yet out side of home also like in boundaries, roofs, garden, & in forms also. These Deeps or Diyas are fulfilled with mustard oil and when mustard oil burns it destroy so many harmful virous & insects of environment and keep negativity away that time as we don’t leave any corner of property in dark. With during the purchasing & celebration people gather, discuss & enjoy of crackers & sweets in group that is too much useful for unity of people as well as for nation.
Raksha Bandhan: A Festival of brother & sister that we celebrated every year. We celebrate Raksha Bandha every year that reminds us about the responsibility & love of brother towards the sister And a believer of sister toward the brother that brother will save sister always from any problem. On this day every sister ties a Rakhi (Sacred thread) on wrist of his brother, put a tilak on his forehead and make eat sweets to his brother then Brother gives a gift & money to his sister, this is a show of love, believe & responsibility of a sister & brother with each other.
And the celebration of Raksha Bandan is in each age of group. There is no bond of age. That is also a system of unity that’s keep people in unity specially brother & siter till end of The life.
Disappointing that people in nowadays are showing too much busy rather they are actually. Just want to say that Why We should be so modern that We forgot our basics, our Culter as well as our festival that’s come with so impressive msg, gives us joy and keep us in unity as well as make us save from evils. These are only few examples only yet there are so many festivals comes & gives a msg of love & unity throughout the year and that’s why We called India “The Land of Festivals” Pls, keep alive our festivals as our festivals are not just a festival yet Our Festivals are “A Unique System to check evils & make Unity”.
